Showing a welcome message to users

These instructions are for the old themes. If you are using a new theme, please use these instructions instead.

You can show a welcome message towards the top of the main page of your forum by following these instructions:

1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
2. Click the Settings link.
3. In the Settings menu, click the Display link.
4. Next to the Welcome Message option, click the Compose a Welcome Message link.
5. Type your announcement into the textbox.
6. Save your changes.

Alternatively, you can send a welcome email to new users or create a pinned topic and then lock the topic.
