Changing the username of a user

These instructions are for the old themes. If you are using a new theme, please use these instructions instead.

1. Login to your forum account.
2. Control Panel tab.
3. Click the Change Username link. If there is no Change Username link, that means the logged in user has not been assigned as an administrator or the user hasn't been given permission to change their own username.
4. Type in the new username.
5. Click the Submit button.

The ability for a user to change their own username can be set on a per user group basis by following the directions below:

1. Login to your Website Toolbox account.
2. Click the Users link
3. In the Users menu, click the Group Permissions link.
4. Click on the Manage link next to the user group you want to change the permission for.
5. In the Manage menu, click Change Permissions.
6. Check or uncheck the Change username option under the Account Permissions section.
7. Save your settings.
